Local Historia will be leading ghost tours (walking tours) in Bellefonte on the last weekend in October. For the past five years, these have become a favorite way for folks in Happy Valley to experience the eerie side of the season. Join us, if you dare!
Where/route: Each tour will start and finish at the Gamble Mill (160 Dunlop Street, Bellefonte). This is a walking tour and will head from the mill into downtown Bellefonte. Ghost Tours are about 75 minutes.
Cost and Audience: $15.00 per ticket (includes a glow stick). This ghost tour event is intended for adult audiences and are not designed for kids. Some of the stories include death, violence, and other supernatural/troubling things. That being said, we keep things professional. None of the content is explicit and should be acceptable for older children, at the parents’ discretion. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Payment Details: Purchase your tickets prior to the event to reserve your spot, all sales are final. Online payment can be made by traditional bank cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Our tickets can only be purchased from Local Historia (via the Local Historia Square links above). Our tickets are non-transferrable. Do not accept offers of “tickets” from anyone else. Tour Route/Safety: The ghost tours are outside and follow public sidewalks and streets. Bellefonte can be rather hilly so expect moderate exercise during the walking tours. Some of the sidewalks are also uneven. Always be alert for street traffic. Lanterns and flashlights are welcome. A glow stick is included with your ticket!
Weather: All efforts will be made to do the tour as scheduled (with umbrellas if necessary). However, if there is a thunderstorm or it’s just too bad, you will be contacted at least one hour in advance to cancel or reschedule the tour. Look for an email or social media post if the weather is appearing to be an issue to stay informed. If you don’t hear anything within one hour of the tour, it’s on!
