Local Historia is BACK in Altoona to bring you a celebration of the city’s storied World War II history! This is a special Veteran's Day walking tour (no cost for Veterans).
Join Historian Jared Frederick on a 60-75 minute walking tour through downtown Altoona as he shares stories from significant locations and veterans from America’s golden generation! This tour is a MUST SEE for anyone interested in the Second World War!

Cost/Tickets $10 per ticket (but Free for Veterans):
Purchase your tickets prior to the event to reserve your spot, all sales are final. Online payment can be made by traditional bank cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Our tickets can only be purchased from Local Historia (via the Local Historia Square link below). Do not accept offers of “tickets” from anyone else. Proof of email confirmation will gain entry to the event (there are no physical tickets). Email the number of veterans in your group or questions to email@example.com

Where: Tour will start and finish at Levity Brewing Co. - Altoona: 1411 11th Ave, Altoona, PA 16601 (See Map).
Children: These historical tours are intended for general/adult audiences and are not specifically designed for kids. That being said, kids are always welcome and are free under the age of 5.
Tour Route: The walking tours are outside and follow public sidewalks and streets. Some of the sidewalks may be uneven.
Weather: All efforts will be made to do the tour as scheduled (with umbrellas if necessary). However, if there is a thunderstorm or it’s just too bad, you will be contacted at least one hour in advance to cancel or reschedule the tour. Look for an email or social media post if the weather is appearing to be an issue to stay informed. If you don’t hear anything within one hour of the tour, it’s on!
